Chateau Poujeaux "Cru Classe" Moulis en Medoc 2010 RP90
Size: 750 ml     SKU: GCFR-R-9003

Varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon (48%) Merlot (45%) remaining split between Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc

The Process: The vinification takes place with full berries in small tanks. Aged for 12 months in 30-40% new French oak under the consultancy of Stéphane Derenoncourt

Professional Review: " The final blend in this vintage was 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot and the rest Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc, tipping the scales at 14% natural alcohol. The wine is outstanding. Rich black raspberry and black currant fruit intermixed with some graphite and floral notes are followed by an opulent, fleshy, full-bodied wine with impressive concentration, texture and length. Moreover, the 2010 can be drunk early on in life or cellared for 15 or more years." -Robert Parker's Wine Advocate-90pts

Clement Pichon Haut-Medoc 2011 Wood Case
Size: 750 ml     SKU: CRFR-R-301110

Varietals: Merlot (50%) Cabernet Sauvignon (40%) Cabernet Franc (10%)

The Process: The winemaking process faithfully respects the piecemeal lots with fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, a long maceration of 25 to 30 days, malolactic fermentation partly made of new oak. For 13 to 16 months depending on the vintage, maturing wine is fully insured in barrels, half of which is renewed every year in sub-pulling reasoned way and practicing a regular stirring of the lees.

Professional Review: 89 points Wine Spectator
A very high-toned style, with red currant, cherry eau de vie and damson plum fruit carried by sleek structure. Not as dense as most of its peers in the vintage, but really fresh and polished. Drink now through 2016. (3/2012)
