Wine Making: Semi-carbonic macerations often referred to as the Beaujolais vinification, under immediate and permanent temperature control, lasting from 7 to 15 days. Aging in stainless steel tanks for approximately 8 months.

Tasting Notes: Robe: deep ruby red colour with deep purple tints.
Nose: floral (peony, old rose) dominated by ripe fruits aromas.
Mouth: nice round attack with fine and elegant tannins.

Wine Making: Hand-picked harvest. The grapes are sorted, in the vineyard if necessary. Semi carbonic vinification in open tanks, under temperature control. 8 to 10 days maceration. Aging in tanks for 4 to 10 months.

Tasting Notes: Dress: dark ruby
Nose: A powerful nose, dominated by raspberry, wild blackberry and blueberry
Mouth: Supple and fruity with a refreshing finish

Wine Making: Hand-picked harvest, full bunches. Semi-carbonic vinification. Vatting for 8 to 10 days. Pneumatic press is used. The wines are stored in traditional tanks.

Tasting Notes: Dress: dark ruby color.
Nose: floral, fruity (red fruits) and spicy (white papper and coriander) notes.
Mouth: a tonic and smooth wine with red fruits aromas: strawberry, wild strawberry and raspberry.

Vins Descombs Chiroubles 2014

Varietal: Gamay

Wine Making: Handpicked harvesting, the grape is sorted by hand immediately after the harvest to keep the best grains. Semi-carbonic vinification in open tanks under temperature control. Maceration lasts 8 to 10 days. Aged 4 to 10 months in tanks before bottling.

Tasting Notes: Dress: bright ruby
Nose: very expressive, with a mix of peony flower, iris, lily of the valley and violet.
Mouth: well balanced with freshness and roundness. Silky tannins and lots of richness on the palate.

Vins Descombe Brouilly 2014

Varietal: Gamay

Wine Making: Beaujolais vinification with full bunch semi carbonic maceration for 10 to 12 days, under permanent temperature control. 6 months aging in oak barrels.

Tasting Notes: Dress: deep purple
Nose: floral (violet) developing into deep ripe red fruits aromas.
Mouth: long and fresh finish. Mixed flavours of small red and black fruits
such as cherries, strawberries, blackberries.

Vin Descombe Beaujolais Villages 2014
Size: 750 ml     SKU: VDFR-R-6002

Varietal: Gamay

Wine Making: Harvested in full bunch, the Beaujolais vinification. Vatting lasts 4 to 6 days. Following the first alcoholic fermentation, the grape is pressed. Bothjuices are blended for the second fermentation: this malo-lactic fermentation makes the wine more supple and remove the excess of acidity.

Tasting Notes: Dress: nice and shiny purple colour
Nose: candied fruits (figs, apricots, raisins).
Mouth: generous, ample and soft with flavours of Morello cherries in Kirsch.

Vins Descombe Beaujolais

Varietl: Gamay

Wine Making: Harvesting by full cluster, being a specificity of the Beaujolais wines. Vatting from 4 to 6 days. After the first malo-lactic fermentation, the grape is pressed, both juices are blended. A second fermentation occurs: the malo-lactic fermentation, giving more softness to the wines by removing the excess of acidity.

Tasting Notes: Dress: bright red with garnet red hints.
Nose: red fruits: raspberry, blackcurrant.
Mouth: fruits with an excellent acid balance.
